Udupi District, 23rd February 2025 – The Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal, and Muniyal Institute of Yoga , Naturopathy successfully conducted a seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) Special Camp titled A Journey of Service, Learning, and Community Engagement at the Rural Education Society ® group of institution, Vidyanagar, Patla, Udupi District. The camp took place from February 17th to February 23rd, 2025.
The directors of the NSS camp, Dr. Sathyanarayan B (Principal, Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences), Dr. Navaneeth K.P. (NSS Project Officer), Dr. Ashita R. (NSS Nodal Officer & Camp Coordinator), and Dr. Reeny Ravina Dias (NSS Camp Co-coordinator), led the camp with great dedication and vision, ensuring its success through their strategic planning and coordination.
The camp was inaugurated on February 17th at 3.00pm in the presence of dignitaries including Mr.Narayan Shenoy, President of the Rural Education Society, Vidyanagar, Patla; Dr. Sathyanarayan B, Principal of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences; Mr. Yogeesh Shetty, Chief Administrative Officer of Muniyal Group of Institutions; and Ms. Chaitra, the Gram Panchayat President of Manipura. The NSS camp followed a disciplined and well-structured daily routine that balanced physical activities, community service, and educational sessions, all aimed at fostering teamwork and social responsibility.
The camp concluded with a valedictory ceremony, celebrating a week of service, learning, and community development. The closing ceremony on 23rd February 2025 was presided over by Dr. Sathyanarayan B, Principal of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Dr. Shraddha V Shetty(Trustee, Muniyal Group of Institutions), Mr. V.G. Baikadi (Administrator, Rural Education Society® group of Institutions, Vidyanagar Patla),Mr.Shanthappa Moolangi, Head master of US Nayak Highschool Vidhyanagara Patla and Dr. Navaneeth K.P. (NSS Officer). The ceremony marked the successful conclusion of a transformative experience for all participants.
The seven-day NSS Special Camp at Rural Education Society Vidyanagar, Patla, was a resounding success, offering valuable opportunities for volunteers to contribute to society while developing essential life skills. Through teamwork, discipline, and selfless service, the camp instilled values of responsibility, leadership, and community engagement, leaving a lasting impact on both volunteers and the community.
